Notes

Doing another Sprig. I like the stretchiness. The pattern is simple but there are little oopses that are easy to make with it, like dropping a carry-over. I periodically look on the backside to make sure I haven’t missed one.

The Isadora lace is not being used at as high a rate as I thought, despite two passes. The heavier sock weight Euro will be used up.

I was not well and a bit out of it when I started, so I forgot my usual habit of weighing the cakes. Oops! But I had used some of the Fraser on another project, so I have a remainder weight of 78.9g for that. And I can estimate the Euro to be around 100g.

The Fraser is also a brighter spring green than pictured.

Cast-On: JSSCO
Bind-off: end on the two rounds of Euro, then do an elastic bind-off using US 7’s.

Dimensions - Unblocked
. Height: 15.75”
. Circumference: 30”

Dimensions - Blocked
. Height: 16”
. Circumference: 36”
… just enough to squeeze twice around my neck

Yarn remaining:
. Isadora: 43.3g
. Euro Sock: 10.8g

Isadora - 78.9g remaining from another project, so only 35.6g used for this one.

And I’ll guess that I used 90g of the Euro Sock. Once the piece is dry, I’ll weigh it altogether and see what it is.

Wet Blocking
. Soaked for about 20 minutes in cold water with hair conditioner.
. A LOT of green bleeding! I suspect the Euro Sock.
… Had to rinse for quite a long time, at least 15 minutes and there was still some green tint.
… Fingers crossed it doesn’t stain other clothing when worn. But the color never tinted my fingers while knitting, nor did it tint the towel I blotted it with.
. Laid flat and pressed into shape. The form tends to ‘hourglass’, so I straighten it into a column or rectangular shape.
