Better pics to come the next time I see my daughter as this is her birthday sweater. A classic raglan with amazing detail to increases (lifted increases) creating a gorgeous line separating the arms from the body. Knit with BFL wool (that I dyed myself in a lilac tonal) marled with a white mohair/silk blend, the sweater is absolutely squishy soft with a beautiful halo. It’s hard to see all the details in this current pic. I hope to capture deets later.

I’m so thrilled with this project. The designer, Jessie Maed, is just brilliant. (I have knit so many of her designs and they just get better & better.) Now to start my own sweater….

Details & mods

Knitting XS for 0” ease.

1.3 cast on German Twisted method.
1.8 Separated sleeves.
1.10 8” on body. 2.5” to go before ribbing.
1.11 first try on - fits well 13” body from underarms. No shaping. Cast off in JSSBO method.
1.15 first sleeve finished. Waiting for her to try on before continuing
1.18 tried on and thankfully i added more length to the sleeves. 127 rounds total including cuff. Did sleeve decreases. Sleeve is kinda tight for my liking but she loved it.
1.19 started second sleeve - slow going on this one. Saving the most of it for this coming weekend when I will have plenty of down time.
1.27 finished. Just need to wash & block & trim ends.

All in all mods were: No positive ease. Went with XS at a 34” bust. german twisted cast on - Jeny’s Super Stretchy Bind off. No body shaping. Worked body (from sleeves down) at a total of 13.5” including the 3” ribbing at waist. Sleeve decreases. Added extra length to arms. 107 total rounds before cuff of 2.5” at 20 rounds.
