Size 9 needle for the hat brim, 10 for the body & 7 for the ears. Knit to 5.5” before decreases.

I wanted to have fur ears like the alternate pattern, so I made the ears according to this pattern, then used a crochet hook to add the novelty yarn to the edge of the ear, after shaping it, then very loosely around the top of the ribbing.
