I used two motifs/squares (Eyelets and Oscar Square) - 44 of each for the throw. I added one row of single crochet to each motif and I joined using single crochet through the back loop.

I had to play around quite a bit with hooks to get my sizing right; in the end, I think that the Eyelets were slightly larger than the Oscars.

I love the valentine color of yarn- the pictures don’t show it well, but it is a soft red, very pretty.
