Haven’t made a swatch. In my defence, I can’t knit a smaller size and I will not need a bigger one so what is the point? I can check yoke depth and everything else as I go…

Instead of the Italian cast on I chose the alternating cable cast on. It’s a faff but gives a much nicer result, particularly at the BoR join.

I’m through with the short rows now and it’s looking very good! The green of the yarn is just beautiful!

I’m in the groove with this now and it’s progressing nicely. I’m over halfway done with the raglan increases and I’m fairly optimistic that it’ll be finished in time. We shall see!

Split body and sleeves just before bed. It’s looking really good and I want it for myself!

The colour is beautiful. I’m looking forward to mindless stocking stitch now for the foreseeable.

Finished the body and one sleeve yesterday! It’s looking like I’ll finish it today and then I can stop stressing.

It’s such a cosy jumper. I can’t wait to make one for myself. I shortened the sleeve slightly though. Knitted to the required 32cm (7 rounds after last decrease) but only knitted the ribbing to 12cm instead of 14cm.

Another change I made was to work a short row before starting the ribbing in order to knit the 1x1 bands inside out so the nicer looking side is facing out. I also knitted all ribbing on a 3.5mm needle despite the pattern not calling for it. I prefer the cinched in bands.

FINISHED! I hope she loves it but if she doesn’t, I do so I’m happy to have it back. It’s sooooo cosy.
