Notes

My niece’s husband tagged me in a facebook post on a picture of this little sleep sack, so I set out to find the pattern. Found this version, and after digging, found a link to the English translation here.

Finished measurements, after blocking, are14 1/2 by 17 (28 with the hood). I picked up 74 stitches along the side, and ended up with 5 button holes on each side.

This huge ball of Rustic Aran Tweed was a delight to work with, and has such a nice soft and squishy feel to the finished product.

This took a bit longer to get going on than it should have, and instead of having it ready when the baby was born, or within the first couple of weeks, he’ll have it just long enough to outgrow it. I will ask my niece to pass it along to the next cousin of hers to have a baby, so that all, or hopefully most, of my great nieces and nephews are able to use it for a bit.
