Oh boy, I might have used different sized hooks on some of the inner squares, :O so some are a bit smaller than others and may need blocking before assembly. This should teach me to be more diligent in my note taking.

Have 20 blocks complete, think I’ll do more & make larger blanket.
Eta: kept the blanket to 20 squares.

Still deciding if I want to make it larger, so I’ve started assembly. Following the pattern, I’m using slst to join. Not quite thrilled with the look as the slst leaves a ridge on one side. However, that ridge will give it some textural and visual appeal.

Finished with a second round of hdc then a round of DC.

Note for self, try join by mattress stitch to avoid ridge. Weave ends better, perhaps weaving in and out, instead of straight through. I found making the squares very relaxing, the triangles intriguing and this yarn washes like a dream.

I found that blocking reduced the ridges. Love the look of this pattern.
