I love playing around with lace/eyelet patterns. I live in a town that has a Steampunk Festival the first week in June, and I am totally inspired by the Steampunk scene. Not to mention that I am crazy about Malabrigo yarn, it works up so wonderfully. It is important to block any lacework if you want the article to lay properly. And, of course, add some old school Mother-of-pearl buttons.
