First off, if you like making quick things, BUY THIS BOOK! It took me about an hour and a half to crochet this gingerbread man and then a little longer to paint on the details.

Second, the patterns in this book are done with slip stitches (American). I don’t like this, so I personally use single crochets (again, American) and a smaller hook; it comes out the same size. You might like the slip stitches though :D
