Notes

My parents have fantastic neighbours who’ve been incredibly kind to them recently. I know Mum’s cowl has been admired: link text so I thought they might like cowls for themselves.

Gwen’s cowl used up some of the fabulous Tarndie Polwarth wool that I had left over from Matt’s jumper: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Pennalicious/huddle. If you are playing along at home, I used about 90g.

The yarn is so soft it’s like knitting velvet so I thought it would be brilliant for a cowl, plus the neutral-ish colour was a good call for someone whose taste I don’t know well.

I followed the same modifications of the Gloria cowl that I used for Mum’s and I’m very pleased with the result. I really need to make something from this yarn for myself one day - why do I keep giving all the good stuff away??
