I love this pattern. I love making it in all different sizes and using different weights of yarn to give such different results.
For this I wanted a bathmat in ombre again, but I wanted to learn from my other makes and try to get the ombre better.
I am almost happy (never totally happy!!).
I used 3 strands of Paris in the colours as listed. I used the 9mm hook for the body, and 2 strands and 8mm hook for the final border trim. Using a smaller hook means that the mat sits flat.
Here are the colours combos I used:
Rd 1 : 3 strands Cream
Rd 2 : 2 cream, 1 light grey
Rd 3 : 2 cream, 1 light grey
Rd 4 : 1 cream, 2 light grey
Rd 5 : 1 ice blue, 2 light grey
Rd 6 and 7 : 2 ice blue, 1 light grey
Rd 8 and 9 : 2 ice blue, 1 light blue
Rd 10 and 11 : 2 light blue, 1 ice blue
Rd 12 : 2 light blue, 1 petrol
Border ; 2 strands petrol
