I am so lucky to be able to test these dolls. CaroCreated is an incredibly talented designer and I get to test the English version.
I have to fess up that for the first time in my crochet life I didn’t finish this test on time (Christmas and life got in the way) but I told he well in advance and I hope that she forgives me!
As ever with these designs the devil is in the detail so DO NOT expect this to be a quick project. These dolls take time, but the time is so worth it. You need to be precise and to count, then count again. There is very little repetition so concentration is really important. However, having said that, if you do make an error (and who’s work is perfect, eh?), then that is fine, you can work your way around it (or frog!).
I love her lush hair (around 250 strands on mine, individually attached), the little handbag is so cute and the pinafore is just perfect. The slouch hat with its little pompom works brilliantly with the coat which as ever has little details which make all the difference -do you see the dinky pocket flaps?
As ever I did’t do the same colours as the pattern because I like to see how things look in quite different shades. I started this in the run up to Christmas and I guess thats why she is really quite red!I was after a kind of little red riding hood look, and I definitely wanted little black Mary Janes and white socks!
I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I did, taking your time and living a little in the slow lane for a change <3
