I like to see how the pattern works with different colours and here I pictured an older (grey hair?) Scottish lady in her tartan and her hap. I had lots of green in my stash and wanted to use that up, and in fact I’m glad I went down this route because I think it works fantastically!

The pattern is very detailed and works brilliantly. It takes time and patience to make and will not be rushed. If you want a quick make then do not buy one of these patterns, but if you want something where you are learning all the time (eg eliminating the slant on dc for the tartan), where every detail is exquisitely fashioned and none is too small, then these are the patterns for you.
I love them, simple as that.

My advice is to take your time, count religiously and keep your tension constant. And stuff tightly - that enables the doll to stand (albeit with a bit of balancing!).
