Notes

I used a 4mm hook for my start chain then 3.5 for the pattern.
Starter chain of 287 Because I’m working in 4-ply (not lace) and a bigger hook.
The yarn is a wool/silk blend 100g is 400m.

Body:63g. Gulp! Hope there’s enough for the border!!

I’m making this for my friend, dyer Wildspinster to try to showcase that gorgeous hand-dyed yarn can be used to crochet. Too many crocheters think it is only for knitters and I totally disagree.
I have just finished the body and I can already see that the silk is giving the yarn the most gorgeous drape and sheen. It is so soft I can’t tell you how lovely it is to work with.

Onto border now, I hope I have enough yarn left fingers crossed hand_with_index_and_middle_fingers_crossed::skin-tone-2hand_with_index_and_middle_fingers_crossed::skin-tone-2

Finished and blocked with 6g left - bit of yarn chicken going on! I think it is very beautiful <3

A word on the yarn:

It is soft, not splitty at all and glides over the hook like butter - I am a real fan. She has an Etsy shop (Wildspinster) where her hand-dyed can be bought.
