2 years in the making, but worth the wait! I love the uber drapey feel of the open lace and cables!

I obviously added a couple of stripes, but I also might have elongated the lace edging on the bottom. I stopped counting and just knitted until I was happy with the stripe size ratio.

My other deviation from pattern is in the BO. I decided I wanted a little flare at the end, so I modded it like this:

• after last row, I knit 3 rows of garter st.
• next row I broke up the edge into 14 and worked a central k2tog, double yo, ssk in each.
• next row knit across, but (k, yo, k) in each double yo

BO next row:
• k, (k, pass both sts back and k2tog) across
• When coming to the central 3 sts of each motif, I worked them-- (k, k, sl back & k2tog), (k, don’t slip back and k last two sts tbl)… I’m not sure if it made any difference, but I liked it, so I kept it up. :-)
