In this gorgeous Pomegranate color, what other princess could it be than Persephone? (ETA: just got to the lace and added stitch markers-- Flames and Flowers sound about right. ^_^ )
I am loving the fabric of the swatch so far… will be measuring my swatch and decide on the size to make tonight.
Mar 29--
Cast on as described in pattern… Not working for me. I ripped back the rows I knit and will do my own stretchy cast on. (I don’t know if it’s the method or my wonky knitting style, but my sts came looser than they should have when I unthreaded the waste yarn.)
After extensive swatching and mathing, I have decided I will make the size small on larger needles. My gauge is a little large (25 sts instead of 28). But I am using US 4 needles so that I will actually finish the sweater-- I know me, a US2 or US3 needle sweater would just sit I. The bag unknit. But since I think the lace panels look a tad too large on the 4s, I will switch to US 3s near the top and finish the pretty portions in this size.

OMGosh-- starting the lace, can’t believe it! I will work half the increase section on my US4s, then switch to 3s for the rest of the top.

On the blocking board now! I pinned the shoulders and arm lines till damp, then unpinned. I like the idea of the ribbing doing a little bounce back while it finishes drying.
In the end, I think I should have just bit the bullet and knit with 3s the whole time, but it’s ok-- this way I will have a top to wear, if I had not used 4s I would never finish, LOL!
