I adjusted the buttonhole stitches to only casting on 3 stitches (as opposed to the recommended 4 stitches) in attempts to avoid the scalloping along the edges. I fear that might be too feminine of a detail for this boy’s sweater.

I really like the looseness of the gauge. I’m used to knitting worsted on US 8s or at most 9s. This 10.5 gives the fabric a much better drape.

It’s knit in solid color to make it a very versatile sweater, and also because it’s paired with a very patterned shirt as a gift.
