Other than having to resort to using icky Red Heart SS for the beak and feet, this has been a great fun knit. It’s so easy to sit down and just whip out a section when taking a break from laundry or dishes or whatever. I just started it and it’s already nearly done but it doesn’t seem like I’ve hardly done any work!

The 6-year-old little girl that got this penguin as a gift was so thrilled. She liked it more than her new Barbie or her store bought plushies. She can even untwist it and twist it back together by herself (after some trial and error).

These are great patterns for practicing basic knitting or magic loop, small enough to take along to visit friends and simple enough to work on while chatting or watching TV. I love these patterns!

I had to make a second of these for one of my nieces’ friends who loved how the first one was looking as I worked on it. She’s extremely pleased with it, and I have more requests starting to stack up by the day!
