Having made a felted eyeball purse for my niece, when I showed her “Eyeball on Top of My Head” a while back, she loved the idea though not necessarily the obvious pentagon the decreases made.

So, I used it as inspiration, found another pattern that was simple enough to lend well to large stripes, and now my niece has a hat to match her favorite purse. :)
