Notes

I found this pattern on Etsy.

Mini Egg Pouch - I rate this as 2 stars for such a simple pattern. It shouldn’t have been hard to make the instructions complete.

It was only $1.50 but it should be free. It’s very badly written. You MUST know how to crochet in order to make sense of this pattern. Or at least how to fill in the blanks.

Example of missing instructions
Row 1 - she only says to ch 5 but she says ch 1 to turn and that there are 5 stitches. If you look closely at the picture, there are sc in Row 1.

I need to make 10 egg pockets for an Easter Egg Hunt. My daughter is putting on an egg hunt for her nieces. She wants 10 of varying sizes.

Shouldn’t be hard. I am just going to make a bunch and see what happens. I purchased the pattern to have something to go by where I didn’t have to figure it out myself. Oddly enough, ravelry doesn’t have a basic egg pocket pattern. I try to purchase within ravelry to support ravelry.

Basic pattern looks like an oval and half an oval sewn together. I should be able to make some variety in these without getting too fancy.

Joining the 2 parts
Obviously the pattern is missing more stitches again. My inclination is just to sc the 2 pieces together and see what happens.

I really have no idea which side is front or back - she claims there is a front and a back. But you turn at the end of every row. Nope, no definite front or back that I can tell. I don’t really think it matters anyway.

1st pocket - I believe the yarn I am using is probably sport weight. It’s an unlabeled ball of variegated blue yarn. I am going to make 2 of these, just because.
