Notes

This is the 4th in a series of summer tops I am making for my daughter for her summer birthday. I am hoping that they fit! She is a small/medium.

I like this in the longer version that I saw in one of the projects. The projects mention that this pattern runs large. I am going to start with the Small size. I know that my yarn will shrink and so, I plan around the shrinkage.

foundation cord = 40 inches with E hook (3.5 mm), subsequent rounds went down to 19 inches in diameter. With a 3-4 inch shrinkage with this yarn, that’s too small.

Foundation cord = 45 inches with F hook (3.75 mm).

Foundation cord = 43 inches with a combination of E and F hooks.

This is a 1 row repeat pattern. Row 3 just repeats.

At Row 3, F hook, I am at 40 inches (20 in diameter).

Frogged

I worked 10 rows and the piece was only 2 inches long. This was going to take way more yarn than I had and I could see that the stitch pattern was going to bore me to death.

I don’t like stitch patterns that don’t lay flat either. That can become a real problem later.

This was not a good match for what I wanted or my yarn.
