Notes

Using the design of the socks from the pattern, I decided to try for the first time a toe-up construction following Norman‘s Toe-Up Sock Recipe.

Magic cast-on with 16 stitches, increasing to 52, working on DPNs. The gusset hight is 11 stitches on each side.

On the second sock, I worked the heel over needles 2 & 3 (ipo 1 & 2 for the first), and started the color changes 6 stitches before the end of the round (ipo 6 stitches after the beginning. This results in the color change line being positioned on the inside of the calves. However, using the instructions for jogless stripes, the changes are barely visible.
Also on the second sock, I tried to improve my short-row skills by slipping the first stitch in the purl rows knitwise and pull the yarn towards the front to create the double stitch, then, when finally knitting them again from the right side, I did this through the back loop. Much nicer result (thanks, Norman!), photos will follow.

Bind-off with „the surprisingly stretchy bind-off“.
