Rolf did wear his first pair I made him (link) so often and continuously that the soles developed holes after about 3 months. As he liked them so much, he wanted an identical new pair, just in different colors (Harley-Davidson vibes )
Casted on 74 stitches and knit 16 rows (with 10 stitches between the markers), ending with 106 stitches total. Continued with 12 stitches between markers and followed instructions until 20 stitches remained on either side, then raised the heel.
The second felting cycle (program „Mini“, 60degC) shrank them more than anticipated - maybe I got the temperature wrong? However, I could force them on the shoe trees and now they are fitting him fine.
