Notes

Casting-on size medium (66 stitches) with 3mm needle, then switching to 2.5mm.
Using previously learned technique to cross the stitches - much faster than cabling, very neat appearance:
Right leaning - k2together, don’t slip from left needle, knit again through first stitch, drop both stitches from left needle.
Left leaning - slip two stitches knitwise one by one, transfer them back to left needle. Knit through the back leg of the second stitch, don’t slip from left needle. Knit again through the back legs of both stitches together, drop both stitches from left needle.

Knit the first fade repeat (2 red, 1 silver),then start the reinforced heel (s1, k1; s1, p1) over the first 32 stitches for 18 rows.

Got distracted with my Lola Pullover but want to finish now this project.
Worked a standard toe box in contrast color: one round in CC, then decrease only on the upper side to get to a multiple of four (66 -> 64). Then decrease every 2nd round until 8 stitches remain per needle, then every round until 4 stitches per needle remain. Kitchener stitched the remaining stitches (8 top, 8 bottom) together. Done with first sock - happy with the result. Now I’m hoping I won’t fall into 2nd sock syndrom.
