Notes

Customized the pattern in some (major) ways:

  • Chose to make only three rhombuses in parallel in the front and back panel (instead of five). In my eyes this looks better balanced with the other structures.
  • Casted on 6 additional stitches under each arm to give a little more room as I felt it would probably finish a little tight with the cables even after blocking. Will compensate with working the sleeves flat for a couple of rows before joining in the round to allow the flat corners to seam with the additional cast-on stitches. This will probably also improve fit and ease of putting the sweater on as the armholes will be less constraint.
  • Added a small cable element along the sides.
  • Started the neck edge with a purl row for a neater finish. Used twisted knit stitches in the ribbing - I think both features give it a more professional touch.
  • Picked up 1 stitch per row along the armholes for a neat look and then decreased ⅓ of the stitches in a first all purl row (p1, p2tog).
  • Worked the hems of sleeves and body in twisted knit stitches, too, to make the structure fit with the neckband.

I‘m really in love with this little sweater and how it came out, the yarn is a perfect fit!

With the remaining yarn from the 3rd skein I improvised a matching little hat.
