With the help of two tremendously nice ladies here on Ravelry I got hold of the pattern which appeared to be discontinued at first.
It took me a while to swatch for gauge and I had to go down to 1.75mm needles to get the desired firmness of the fabric a gauge at the same time. Also, I wanted to go with the the 11 stitches repeat to match the pattern of my Sanquhar scarf.

It finally worked out well, even if it was difficult to judge the fit until also the thumb is finished.
The pattern is very well written and easy to follow. It still needs advanced knitting skills to deal with details like casting on and picking up stitches in pattern (at the thumb base).
Now the only remaining problem is that one glove alone doesn’t help a lot - second glove syndrome Best is to get a start right away, let’s see.

Made it through the second glove in two weeks, glad I could get it done. Still some yarn remaining, thinking of adding leg warmers.
