Cast on on 28th July 2012 on 2mm needles

This is more boring to knit than I thought, and quite tricky to get the tension right between the single yarn stripy bit and the single yarn / double yarn patterned bit. I hope it blocks out right to even out tension.

Needle broke halfway through! argh!

.. well I dont think this will be ready for the end of the olympics, but at least I managed to get the majority of it done, and I’d consider that a good result.

The material for this arrived today, but I will be good and not start it until I finished my still light tunic. It’s for a christmas gift, so will have plenty of time.

Hopefully the recipient will appreciate it - I think it’s a pretty befitting gift, so dont mind the material being a bit expensive to get hold of.
