Notes

Inspired by a sock monster I saw in an etsy shop made from commercial toe socks, I decided to try make something similar with my needles.

Pattern Design Progress

I intend to make this into a pattern that will be for sale within a few weeks. However, this will not be a pattern for a beginner knitter, nor for a knitter who hates sewing tiny bits together. The legs are knit individually, then joined and the monster’s body and head continue in the round in one piece. Both arms are two pieces. The head spines are five individual pieces. And the tail is five individual pieces. I think it is well worth sewing all the tiny bits in order to get this cute monster with such character. But I do want people who dive into this pattern to be aware of what they’re getting themselves in for.
