Holst Supersoft Sloe colors the fingers incredibly blue/lilac during knitting. I have never had that problem with Holst Supersoft before.
To prevent a bleeding issue, after finishing C1 on the body I continued with the neckband. Then I washed this Sloe piece twice: soaked overnight with detergent in boiling water -what an incredibly black swill - and then at 30 degrees in the washing machine. To continue knitting with C1 on the sleeves I soaked and washed the remaining Sloe balls as well.
- neckband 21/27/21/57 => 126 sts. I really like the generous neckline of this design.
- jogless stripes: preferred method => “K1togRL” => see Nimble Needles
- lengthened the body with C2 (+ 3-4 cm) and C4 (+ 2-3 cm) to 50-51 cm from underarm CO since Holst Supersoft shrinks in length when washed.
- body ribbing => 12 rds
- shortened the sleeves (- 2-3 cm)
- cut the main color at the four row stripes, because I do not like carrying up the yarn more than two rows.
