Knitting the smallest size in Aran weight yarn, aiming for a 9 months size.
In order to not run out of yarn again - although I probably would have had enough - I am going for a 10 row block stripe pattern. Also, adding a 10 row stripe in order to finish with a light blue stripe - more out of regard for the color than necessity for more length…

finished - very pretty!
added fake purl “seams” at sides and sleeves
added another inch or so to the sleeves in order to stay in block-stripe pattern - does not matter, since body is longer too, and sleeves can be turned up.
three buttonholes (although four buttonholes) because I only have three buttons but those are perfect.
some trouble with the collar though - I got confused with the markers. When I ignored the instructions (second marker, first marker, inner marker, outer marker) and thought about what I needed to do it was quite easy.
The inner markers marked the garter rib pattern AND the short rows, so I must have overlooked the instruction to remove the outer markers.
Whatever, it worked out and turned out beautiful.
Won’t do pockets.

Finished measurements:
chest: 23 cm
hem - underarm: 20 cm
hem - shoulder: 30 cm
sleeve - underarm: 15 cm

sleeve - shoulder: 25 cm

sleeves could even have been a bit longer
