Finally balled up the yarn that I dyed in 2008. I made six custom colors; sold three and kept three.

Eight years later the pink provided the perfect inspiration for these booties.

This should be fun!

First sole complete! I’m doing one bootie at a time so I’m not making the second sole tonight.

Taking a break for now and will see how far I get on the body for the first bootie.

So far so good. First time crocheting with fingering yarn. I’m also using google a lot because I was never formally taught crochet and therefore I want to ensure I know the basics as they should be rather than as I assume them to be!

Second sole complete. It is much easier to sc around after having done it so many times! Time to add the ribbing for the body which is by far the worst part.

Done! Well, done with the crochet portion. I need to get some buttons, weave in ends, and wash.
