Kestrel should definitely be hand-wound, a winder adds twist to the yarn which is not good because it’s a ribbon yarn.
Gauge Swatched
US8 (5mm)
Unblocked - 17 sts X 23.5-23.75 rows = 4”
Blocked (Machine/Lay Flat) - 15.5 sets X 25 rows = 4”
Hanged Dry - 16 sts X 25-26 rows = 4”
Therefore, needles need for project are US8(5mm), US5(3.75mm), US3(3.25mm)

Finished all the decreases for sides when I discovered I was missing a stitch…no worries just do a m1 and all should be right…until you play with your edge and find your missing stitch 20+ rows down…so had to rip out 5” 
…at least this works up quick…

Was able to finish back to point of frogging at Knit Night.
Back and Left are on waste yarn.
Finished all decreases from right front, need a few more inches to hit the 10.5” mark.
Almost done with second skein.

On last lace ladder of first sleeve. Finally got the rhythm of the different sections down to make it an it if mindless knitting.
NOTE: Pattern needs this errata: on the 2nd Next Row the word TURN is missing from the end of the stitch repeat This had caused great confusion and for a while I was basically closing off the hole of the arm versus making a band of the lace ladder.

Ribbing took 6 repeats (12 rows) plus pickup row. Measures a little over 1.5”

On the last lace ladder AND lost at yarn chicken
Maybe I have been leaving too long of tails with each lace ladder.
Will have to wait until Tuesday to pick up a new skein and hope it’s still dye lot 1.

Picked up extra skein of sparrow in Mica…thankfully it was still Dye Lot 1. Finished last lace ladder(which only needed 3g out of a 49g skein
…did cuff…and literally 18 stitches left to BO and out of yarn
. This pattern seriously doesn’t account for yardage the one might need to do a gauge swatch!
Now crossing my fingers that remaining stock in shop if only 1 dye lot off.
Only need to finish cuff BO and crochet edging and seaming of front as well as seaming the sleeves.
sigh this project is starting to take too much effort to finish.

Picked up another skein of Kestrel, but it’s dye lot 6. At this point I don’t care and just want this project off the needles.
Took 2 tries to handwind it, because I wound it on the wrong end of the nostepinne the 1st try. Thankfully I have 2 nostepinnes.

Blocking and drying. Will measure final measurements when it’s dry.
