Link to sweater kit is here. It is not listed on Ravelry.
Pattern corrections:
- If using the Kit Couture Alpaca yarn for any bobbles, double it up. There is enough Alapaca yarn in the kit to do so. Pattern says to just use single strand.
- Decreases off slightly on the right edge of the sleeve chart.

Started! This sweater is going to be fairly slow going since it’s so wide and the bobbles take some extra time, but I am so excited! It is designed by Laerke Bagger, whom I greatly admire and love her creativity with sweater design.
Kit Couture’s packaging and the pattern so far seem very well thought out and written (especially compared to Wool and the Gang patterns) and definitely intended for more advanced knitters which is nice. I feel like most kits are usually very beginner.
One thing I have been questioning is whether to double up the one Alpaca color. It’s thinner than all the other yarns and when worked as a single in a bobble, it’s really loose and small. Squinting at the photos, it really seems like they doubled up this yarn so I am doing that. Fingers crossed I do not run out early!!! There is more yardage of this yarn at least, but not quite double… so we’ll see.

Finished body up to armpits. Starting sleeves. This sweater has you joining the sleeves to the body and knitting a yoke.

Getting down to the wire!!! Need to finish in 2 days for Vogue Knitting Live! Doubling up the Alpaca was definitely the right thing to do. Unfortunately when I did the sleeves, I realized I made the ribbed hem of the body too short. For some reason in my head I though 5cm = 1 inch. We’ll see how it fits, if I have time I’ll go back and graft on some more ribbing.
