A couple of notes, based on pm questions. My gauge was 32 stitches & 48 rows per 4 inches stockinette pre-washing, unblocked & unstretched. To be as true as possible to the test I used the then-recommended needle of US1.5 and chose an appropriate yarn from my stash that would work with that needle size. There was no gauge given. The yarn is cotton based.

10/01/12 - These washed and dried quite lovely. I did rely on the elastic in the yarn a bit too much; wish I’d made both the feet & the legs longer.

9/20/12 - Finished! Nice pattern. Missed a couple of cables along the way. My first test knit and first chart. Top-down isn’t really my thing, but I’ll definitely make these again toe-up.

9/9/12 - restarted with Risata; TAAT magic loop; tillybuddy’s very stretchy cast-on for rib

9/8/12 - started with Plymouth Happy Feet but I couldn’t see what I was doing (dark yarn)!
