I need to make two of these: perhaps one pink (known) and one grey (secret)

I need to make this at a 3-6 months size cover (not needed for cloth diapering) but I’m using DK weight to match an outfit. I didn’t find another DK pattern that I liked as well as this one so I made some adjustments.

I cast on with size 5 needles for the largest size. When the pattern called for “X inches from cast on” I used the small size. It looks about right but as I am making this for a baby shower layette, I won’t know if the size is right for quite some time.

I knit a 3 stitch icord and ran it through the fabric and tied it for decoration. It could probably work as a functional tie if I strung it through further apart.
