This is a one skein project.

I wanted it to be wide with the length to be just enough to hug my shoulders. Instead of joining the ends with a seam or Kitchener stitch, I have added the button bands to wear it different ways. It can be worn as a cape, or wrapped around a neck as a scarf and secured with buttons.

I used this stitch before to make a narrower and longer scarf in a mohair mix yarn, and got lots of compliments.

With two skeins of a delicate yarn you can turn it into a stunning shawl. Just do not ignore blocking it with blocking pins/wires. The blocking works like a charm to lacy stitches.
