This scarf project is based on Wild Red Rose pattern, but modified, because I almost never knit two projects the same. Cast on 62 sts instead of 50.
Made it straight, not in a wavy pattern.
Picots are placed every 8 rows and at both ends.

The instruction for this variation of a scarf is added as a bonus to the main pattern, but I may upload a separate pattern for it because it looks quite different and worthy of a separate pattern entry.

Wanted to finish it sooner to wear for a special event and didn’t knit all 35 repeats in length, but only 30. Then I chose to wear something else instead, but never came back to it to unravel the bind-off and add the length. The finished length is 130 cm (50”). During modeling for the pictures it grew in length a bit and became narrower too.

The yarn is hand dyed by me. This linen/ silk yarn becomes very soft after wash, so the scarf is very soft and looks casual after a little wear. The thread itself looks fuller than a “normal” lace weight yarn does. Beautiful yarn, quite strong too, but when pulled too hard, it breaks. Would be good for summer tops and lightweight cardigans too.
