Cast on 102 (doing i-cord edges plus one extra flat panel)

Although the pattern calls for fingering in a lux yarn, I wanted to use some stash. Combine that with me wanting, for ages, to make this stole, so I’m using what I have. It’s heavier and not lux but my hope is it will still result in a nice warm stole.

I took a week from knitting this, deciding whether to frog it. After the first cake was knit up, I could see it would be too short with only 4 skeins. Went to my LYS and they did have the colour in an unlabeled MadTosh that appears to be a light Worsted or Dk -- it’s close enough; I’m using it. Hooray, with the extra skein it will be wearable, even if not as long as I had hoped. Carry on knitting …

First time: Following instruction from this video with this wrap I wove the ends in as I knit. Worked like a charm. Going to have to do this on other projects!

PATTERN: Easy, well written. Will make this again.

YARN: Nicely dyed. Going to be quite warm. Has thin/thick attributes. Ideal for a heavy wrap or a blanket. Also would make a good sweater or baby sweater even though hand washing is required.

Final Measurement: 18” wide x 66” long after a light steam block.
