This was the original pattern, before the revamp and redesign. I like it, imperfections and all!
This blanket will be going a little slower than my ROC, as my wrists are pretty gnarly right now thanks to carpal tunnel syndrome. :/ Doc says I have to take it easy. Also, wrist braces. Ick.
started!! Doing a mixed/gradient colorway.
color 1 -White
color 2 - Yellow
color 3 - Orange
color 4 - Red
color 5 - Mixed Berry
color 6 - Turquoise
Sep 20: rows 1-20
Sep 23: rows 21-28
Sep 24: rows 29-34 (with 34 being done twice. I skipped 2 sts at the very beginning, rather than 1 >< )
Sep 25: rows 35-39 (mistake in row 38 meant some sc2tog to correct st count in row 39, so row 39 was done twice)Finished part 1, will sew in ends tomorrow
Sep 26: rows 40-41
Sep 27: after an 8 mile hike with the hounds and my husband, I came home and did rows 42-50
Oct 2: rows 51-53; taking it slowly, icing my wrists between each round. I’m starting to feel close to normal, so I’m going to keep babying myself along. Slow and steady.
Oct 3: rows 54-56; 1st skein of yellow ran out halfway through round 57. Off to the yarn store!
Oct 4: bought more yarn, joined second skein of yellow and finished round 57
Oct 5: rows 58-69, new skein of turquoise joined in round 67, finished 1st skein of red in round 69
Oct 8: rows 70-72
Oct 9: rows 73 & 74
Oct 10: rows 75-77
Oct 11: rows 78-83
Oct 12: rows 84 & 85 (join yarn in 1st sc of corner 3 sc)
Oct 15:rows 86-88.75 (ran out of yellow with 7 repeats to go)
Oct 17:Rows 89-92
Oct 18: rows 93-94 FINISHED!!
Finished size: sits nicely on top of a queen sized bed, is a little heavy
Notes on the yarnage: It was super frustrating to find that I would run out of yarn on the last edge of the final rows of that color. If you’re going to use I Love This Yarn, know that you’ll be cutting it close with all the yarns, so expect to either have only 50 yards of a color left, or that you’ll need an extra 50 yards of color.
