I tried slip stitch and single crochet to join the squares, but ended up just whip stitching them together with thread on the wrong side.
Going to lengthen top as much as my yarn allows. Love the crochet lace at the bottom but not interested in flashing my belly.

The body pattern creates a dense, heavy fabric. The straps are too thin to hold up the body. Will probably frog this
