Of all the dishcloths I’ve recently crocheted, this one is the absolute winner! #1, it’s a really great scrubber. #2, it’s reversible so there’s no “bad” or “ugly” side. #3, it has no sequence of stitches to remember beyond increases or decreases. #4 getting my desired size is simple with any yarn any size hook without knowing a certain number of starting chains. Thanks Ananda for sharing the pattern.

I’ve been using and machine washing several Diagonal Dishcloths I made about a year ago. As you can see in my last photo, the shape has elongated in a really unattractive way. This happened no matter what brand of cotton yarn I used, and whether I air-dried or machine-dried the cloths. So, while the dishcloths were quick, easy, and enjoyable to crochet, I wouldn’t make any more of them for myself and would not give them as a gift. Disappointing.
