I modified this pattern to my taste.

(1) I didn’t like the back panel having no neckline shaping and no ribbing. I made a curved neckline like the front panel but less deep. After assembling the shoulders, I added ribbing around the entire neckline.

(2) I prefer tapered sleeves to straight cylindrical ones, especially when the sleeve ends in a fitted cuff. Starting at the elbow, I decreased by 2 sts the first and third rows of dc within each set of 8-row repeat. This reduced the stitch count to 34 stitches (8 inches) around the wrist. Then, I gathered the wrist into a comfy ribbed cuff like this: rather than sl st in next 1 st on edge of sleeve, sl st in next 2 sts.
