Here’s my rewritten pattern based Claudia Barbo’s original, because I found the math to be incorrect.

SIZES: A (B, C, D, DD)

GAUGE: 4 1/2 sc and 5 1/2 rows = 1 inch

MATERIALS:

• 1 (1, 1, 1, 2) skeins Ultra Pima Fine yarn, neutral shade
• Size 4.5mm crochet hook or size needed for gauge
• 3 locking stitch markers (2 matching and 1 odd-colored)
• Tapestry needle
• Polyester fiber fill suitable for clothing or pillows, washable & hypoallergenic

ABBREVIATIONS
• Inc = work 2 scs in next sc
• Pm = place marker
• Rep = repeat
• Rnd = round
• Sc = single crochet
• St = stitch

FRONT

  1. Rnd 1: Leaving about 6 inches of tail, wrap yarn around index finger twice and work 6 sc over both strands. Pull tail to close “magic ring”. Continue to work in the round.
  2. Rnd 2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
  3. Rnd 3: (Sc in next 2 sts, inc in next 2 sts, pm) 3x (on last rep use odd-colored marker to mark end of row; in subsequent rnds move up each marker to last st of inc.) (18 sts)
  4. Rnd 4: (Sc in next 4 sts, inc in next 2 sts) 3x. (24 sts)
  5. Rnd 5: (Sc in next 7 sts, inc in next st) 3x. (27 sts)
  6. Rnd 6: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st, inc in next st) 3x. (33 sts)
  7. Rnd 7: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st) 3x. (36 sts)
  8. Rnd 8: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st, inc in next st) 3x. (42 sts)
  9. Rnd 9: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st) 3x. (45 sts)
  10. Rnd 10: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st, inc in next st) 3x. (51 sts)
  11. Rnd 11: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st) 3x. (54 sts)
  12. Rnd 12: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st, inc in next st) 3x. (60 sts)
  13. Rnd 13: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st) 3x. (63 sts) A CUP = 5 inches across
  14. Rnd 14: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st, inc in next st) 3x. (69 sts)
  15. Rnd 15: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st) 3x. (72 sts) B CUP = 5.5 inches across
  16. Rnd 16: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st, inc in next st) 3x. (78 sts)
  17. Rnd 17: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st) 3x. (81 sts) C CUP = 6 inches across
  18. Rnd 18: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st, inc in next st) 3x. (87 sts)
  19. Rnd 19: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st) 3x. (90 sts) D CUP = 6.5 inches across
  20. Rnd 20: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st, inc in next st) 3x. (96 sts)
  21. Rnd 21: (Sc in each st until marked st, inc in marked st) 3x. (99 sts) DD CUP = 7 inches across
  22. When desired cup size is complete, work 2 rnds of sc in back loops only, moving markers up as you go.

BACK

  1. Rnd 1: (Sc2tog, sc in next st and each st until st before marked sc, sc2tog) 3x, moving marker up as you go.
  2. Rep rnd 1 until 12 to 15 sts remain. Remove markers.
  3. Cut yarn leaving a 10-inch tail. Thread tail onto tapestry needle and weave through front loop only of remaining sts. If mailing to Knitted Knockers in Bellingham, WA, mail unstuffed. If distributing locally, stuff firmly with fiber fill and pull tail to tighten. Tuck tail into knocker so that filling can be adjusted as needed.
