A few changes from the original pattern: I shortened the earflaps, repositioned them closer to the neck, and omitted the pom-pom, to suit the wearer. I incorporated the ties into the earflaps by chaining out and slip-stitching back across the chain. I did a border of sc around the edges of the earflaps and sl st around the edges of the hat.
