Crochet Heart Border Pattern
(This is my own pattern. I use UK crochet stitch names)

ROW 1 Red base row
Sk 1, 1htr into each of next 5 sts , Sk 1, (1 htr, 2 ch, 1 htr) into next st.
In corner: 1 htr, 2 ch, 1 htr, 3 ch, 1 htr, 2 ch, 1htr

ROW 2 White. (1st row of heart)
3 trs into each V-shaped, 5 chs between
At corner, do not use the 3 ch space.

ROW 3 White (2nd row of heart)
Locate the 2 spaces in the V of previous row.
3 trs into 1st space, 1 ch, 3 trs into next space, 4 ch between hearts.
At corner, 7 chs

ROW 4 White 3rd row of heart)
1 dc, 2 ch, 1 tr into next 2 sts, 2 chs, sl st into space
2 chs, 1 tr into next 2 sts, 2 chs, 1 dc
3 chs between hearts,
(7chs at corner)

ROW 5 Red Border
1 dc into sl St at top of heart, 6 chs
Locate 6 spaces in the red base row
1 tr cluster using spaces 1 and 2
1 tr cluster using spaces 5 and 6,
6 chs
In corner: 2 dtr, 2 chs, 2 dtr

ROW 7 Red
This row is to strengthen the outline of the hearts.
1 sl st into each of 6 chs up one side of heart
Skip dc at top of heart, 1 ch
1 sl st into each of 6 chs down other side of heart
Skip clusters between each heart.
