For the sleeves I cast on 54 stitches with the smaller needle, then worked about 1 1/2 inches of twisted 1x1 rib.
Changed to larger needles, knit one round, worked increase round, then started lace pattern.

I made a button hole every 14th row, for nine buttons, since I didn’t use the fisherman’s rib.

For a left leaning decrease worked on the WS, I worked p2tog tbl.
