To start I’d like to give credit and thanks to jocelynlally and her AMAZING Bears Hat which totally inspired me to make my first version & this one.

My friend Dean loved my Chudley Cannon’s hat and after his team won the Super Bowl (which he went to) I decided to make him one of his very own!

I have found knit picks fingering pretty light in the past so i decided to go with sport weight. it’s nice and dense and was pleasant to knit with. it definitely looks great and washed well!

a few additional notes:

• if you are interested in the chart let me know, i’m happy to pass it along

• copied jocelynlally and added a pompom (and a big one at that!)

• started the decreases one row after i finished the second yellow stripe

• the words and football are all duplicate stitch
