6/9/17
i first tried to make it Argyle and i didn’t like it.
lion brand color waves in starboard with 4.00mm hook in dc.
i tried sc, moss, hdc, and dc and also tried different offsets. i think it’s ok, but it’s not as crisp looking as i like it. the right side of the Xs are all aligned but it doesn’t look like it because the yellow and orange only have one stitch.
6/10/17
started over and made stripes
each row has the following stitches:
5 blue
2 purple
1 orange
1 yellow
3 green
1 yellow
1 orange
2 purple
9 blue
2 purple
1 orange
1 yellow
3 green
1 yellow
1 orange
2 purple
9 blue
2 purple
1 orange
1 yellow
3 green
1 yellow
1 orange
2 purple
5 blue
each row was three sequences across (starting and ending halfway through the blue). i maintained a very tight tension in dc. the two blue columns in the middle contain 9 dc and the ones on the end had 5 (totaling 10dc in that color section).
6/12/17
i made a long piece and folded it over, overlapping 4 rows. i joined the sides together using a tight moss stitch (sc, ch1, sc, ch1…).
6/19/17
the buttons i bought ended up being too big for the holes between the dc stitches, so i added 5 snaps to hold it shut, and used the three green buttons for decoration (non functional buttons).
this pillow cover is able to be removed from the pillow form in order to be washed when necessary.
