Cast on tonight after swatching twice. Got gauge with size 9. Planning on taking my time with this, working on it over the next few months. Just a leisure knit with a great result. Absolutely loving this yarn. It is heavenly.

Got some more finished today. Very much enjoying this. It’s going quickly, but not too quickly. It’s easy for me to knit while things are going on around me. The yarn is fabulous to work with. I might be a little sad when I’m finished with it. Although I cannot WAIT to wear it :)

10-02-2015

Got quite a bit done while waiting for husband’s swearing in ceremony at MEPS on Sept 30th. It was nice to literally have nothing else to do besides knit!

10-08-2015

Haven’t even picked it up in over a week. We were away celebrating our anniversary for the weekend, and then I went right to the hospital with our sister-in-law for the birth of their baby. Really should’ve brought my knitting for that. I got 1 hour of sleep and had plenty of time to knit. Oh well.

10-12-2015

Separated sleeves last night! And with perfect timing, I didn’t have enough yarn from that skein to finish another row :) I’ve wound up the next skein and I’m ready to continue down the body.

10-21-2015

Just finished 3rd waist decrease row. I’ve got it on needles that are too short, so I haven’t been able to try it on yet :( Soon enough.

10-27-2015

Finished the 5th decrease row last night. Little by little, it’s getting there.
Somehow ending up with an extra stitch. All my decreases are there, so I have no idea where it happened… and I’m not going to try and find it. I can fudge one stitch :)

10-30-2015

Almost ready to start increasing for the hips. I sort of tried it on and I cannot WAIT to wear this thing.

11-02-2015

Started the hip increases and finished my second skein.

01-07-2016

Started bottom ribbing (1/1/16) on the drive 6 hours, taking my husband back to basic training after Christmas break. Finished the body last night and have just picked up the collar (cannot find any 9dpn in this house! Sleeves will have to wait). Also, this is the best I’ve ever done picking up stitches for a collar and I’m pretty excited. I really hate picking up stitches. I tried a small section 3 times before feeling confident enough to do the whole thing, haha. I did NOT want it to look crappy with all this work and this beautiful yarn.

02-14-2016

Ended up with a somewhat small collar, but I don’t have a problem with it at all. I love it SO MUCH.
And I didn’t even count how many stitches I picked up for the button bands, but I know it was a lot more than the pattern called for. Which is how I wanted it.
I’m so happy with the final outcome.
