Notes

Using smaller needles, so making the L size. Orange is Phil’s favorite color, so I paired it to be Bronco colors.

I’m confused at picking up stitches for the gusset. I hope I’m interpreting this correctly, that each slipped pair gets two stitches picked up? Otherwise I don’t see how I could pick up as many stitches as it says. I looked through others’ project notes and didn’t find any reference to this issue. heavy sigh

Oct 11, first sock is done (just before midnight). So this is a two-day sock. But it is not mindless knitting by any means. There are multiple charts and methods that I am not familiar with that keep me involved and interested. This is no beginner’s sock.

The ssk and k2tog decreases seem to be reversed, done on the opposite sides of normal. I changed them so as to be in the usual manner. Again, saw no mention of this in the notes of others, but I did what I did.

I noticed a mistake, I am pretty sure I started the heel flap without finishing my last row of chart A (last dpn overlooked) on the second sock. That makes things just a little off, but doubtful anyone but me will notice.
